Data centre switches, including Nexus-class lines
Top-of-rack, leaf and spine switching for data centre rows — high-density QSFP28 and SFP28 models quoted by exact part number.

High-density switching, quoted exactly
Data centre switching is a part-number business. The desk's own listings include the Cisco Nexus 9300 series — the N9K-C9336C-FX2 with 36 QSFP28 ports is one of the models named on its product pages — alongside Catalyst core lines such as the C9500-24X-E.
Send part numbers exactly as printed, including breakout and licence-relevant suffixes. For fabric designs, include the transceiver and cable lines on the same BOM so optics are priced with the switches, not after them.

Leaf, spine and the links between them
Fabric designs are priced as fabrics. The switch count follows the topology — leaf count from the server rows, spine count from the bandwidth the design moves between them — and the transceiver count follows the ports. Send the topology with the switch list and the desk checks the three counts against each other before pricing.
Breakout decisions belong on the inquiry too. A QSFP28 port run as four SFP28 links changes the cable and optic lines completely, and a quotation that assumes the wrong breakout has to be rebuilt. State the breakout plan per port group, or mark it open and the quotation will price the common pattern and say so.
Spares and repeatability
Data centre operators usually buy the fabric and its spares together: a shelf spare for each switch class, and spare optics matched to the installed types. Add the spare lines to the BOM explicitly — they consolidate with the fabric shipment and are far easier to source alongside it than alone later.
Where a build repeats across halls or sites, the first fabric quotation becomes the template. Later orders are checked against it line by line, so port counts, airflow variants and optic types stay consistent unless the design deliberately changes them.
Common questions
Can you quote Nexus 9300 switches?
Yes — the Nexus 9300 series is listed on the desk's own pages. Send the exact part number, for example N9K-C9336C-FX2, with quantities.
Should optics go on the same inquiry?
Yes. Add SFP/QSFP modules and DAC or fibre lines to the same BOM so the quotation covers the full link.
Should power and airflow variants be specified?
Yes — front-to-back and back-to-front airflow variants are different order strings. Name the variant the hall design fixes, per model.
