Fortinet equipment — sourcing and supply
Fortinet sits in the brand navigation with firewalls as its anchor line — FortiGate appliances are quoted by model, or by the throughput the design must inspect.
FortiGate first, sized honestly
Most Fortinet inquiries on this desk are FortiGate inquiries. If the design names the model, send it. If it names only the site — circuit size, user count, VPN roles — the desk quotes the appliance class that fits and names the model on the quotation, so the sizing decision is visible.
High-availability pairs and bundle or subscription names in a specification should be copied into the inquiry exactly as specified; those details change the quoted configuration.
Fortinet in depth
FortiGate lines are priced as a security posture
A FortiGate order carries more than the appliance: the subscription bundle the design runs and the term it is bought for are part of the line's meaning. State bundle and term expectations on the inquiry — where the design leaves them open, the quotation names the bundle it priced.
Switching and wireless from the same catalogue make Fortinet orders estate orders, with the firewall as their security head. Send the estate together and the junctions — fabric links, licenced AP counts — are checked at the quotation stage.
Common questions
Can you quote FortiGate by throughput instead of model?
Yes — circuit size, user count and inspection profile are enough for the desk to name a model class on the quotation.
Are HA pairs quoted?
Yes — state that the design is a pair and both units will be priced.
Are subscriptions quoted with the appliance?
Where the inquiry names the bundle and term, yes — as priced lines on the same quotation. Confirm warranty terms with your quote.
