PoE switches sized by power budget, not just ports
Power over Ethernet switching for phone, camera and wireless estates — quoted with the total PoE budget your devices actually draw.

Budget the watts first
PoE inquiries go wrong when they count ports and forget watts. A 24-port switch feeding PTZ cameras and Wi-Fi 7 access points draws a very different budget from the same switch feeding desk phones. State the device mix — phones, cameras, access points — and the desk will quote PoE switches whose total budget covers it.
Supplied lines include managed PoE switches from Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei and Aruba, with 24-port and 48-port models the most requested. Ask for pre-shipment inspection photos if you want the exact units checked before dispatch.
Include in a PoE inquiry
- Device count by type: phones, cameras, access points
- Highest per-port draw (PTZ cameras and Wi-Fi 7 APs draw most)
- Managed or unmanaged, and uplink speed to the core
- Rack-mount or desktop placement
Where PoE budgets actually go
The arithmetic that matters is the sum of the draws, not the count of the ports. A desk phone draws a few watts; a PTZ camera with a heater, or a Wi-Fi 7 access point at full radio load, draws several times that. Quotations from this desk state the budget of the quoted switch against the device list you sent, so the headroom is visible before the order is placed.
Headroom is not waste. Estates grow — a camera added here, an AP upgraded there — and a switch bought at exactly today's draw becomes next year's constraint. If the design allows, say how much spare capacity you want carried, and the quoted models will be chosen with that margin in view.
Common questions
Can one PoE switch run phones and cameras together?
Yes, if the total power budget covers both. State the device mix in the inquiry and the quotation will size the budget.
Do you supply 48-port PoE switches?
48-port PoE models are a standard request across the supplied brands — name the brand preference and budget in your inquiry.
Can the desk check my device list against a switch budget?
Yes — send the device types and counts per closet and the quotation names switches whose total budget covers the draw, with the headroom stated.
